Spazi di relazione nel centro di Torino

La ricerca prende in considerazione gli spazi di relazione esterni ed interni di alcuni edifici oggetto di recente restauro e ri-funzionalizzazione nella città di Torino, dove il ruolo dell’installazione artistica ha contribuito a caratterizzarli. Tali spazi di relazione hanno il ruolo di marcare un distacco oppure di rafforzare un legame tra l’esterno e l’interno. Gli esempi riportati dimostrano come una corretta attenzione fin dalle fasi iniziali del progetto sia in grado di garantire un risultato capace di dare valore al progetto architettonico e nello stesso tempo sollecitare la sensibilità dei fruitori. Troppo spesso l’attenzione a questi spazi viene rivolta solo alla fine del processo costruttivo, per cui la pratica si configura come una “vestizione” degli spazi e non come una progettazione integrata degli stessi.
The research takes into consideration the external and internal relational spaces of some buildings in the city of Turin recently restored and re-functionalized, where the role of the artistic installation has contributed to characterize them. These relationship spaces have the role of marking a detachment or reinforcing a link between the exterior and the interior. These examples show how correct attention from the first steps of the project can guarantee a result capable of giving value to the architectural project and at the same time stimulating the users’ sensitivity. All too often attention to these spaces is only paid at the end of the construction process, so that the practice is configured as a “dressing up” of the spaces and not as an integrated design of them.
